Château Marcouzin is an exceptional property dating from the 18th century and is set in a private estate of several hectares of land. The property is located on a peaceful plateau with beautiful views over the adjacent countryside. Château Marcouzin is located by the village of St Germain de Belvès and only 10 kms from the busy markets of Belvès and St Cyprien - see our Dordogne map. It is centrally located in the heart of the Périgord Noir enabling visitors to enjoy all aspects of it.  Upon arriving at the property the avenue leads directly to the front of the château, and sets the scene for a luxurious and very stylish holiday.  

The six stylish bedrooms comfortably cater for up to 12 persons. All the bedrooms are located upstairs and in the 5 first bedrooms all the beds can be put together to make a double bed or simple to have a twin room. The last bedroom is decorated to accommodate two children but you will also find two cots. The bedrooms are fully equipped and from all the rooms you have a beautiful view all over the gardens which made each room with it's own character. Upstairs you also have the two bathrooms. One with a wash basin and a big shower and in the second one you will have the pleasure to take a bath.

On entering the Château, you have a spacious and beautiful hall entrance which drive you all over the house. On the left hand, you will have the attractive kitchen fully equipped for the pleasure of even the keenest of cooks : two little fridge, dishwasher, gas hob top, microwave, double oven...

On the right hand of the hall, you will have the dining room which can accomodate up to 15 people. The old furniture made it full of character.  After the dining room you enter the spacious and comfortable living room with settees and prettily furnished. Guests may enjoy the television, hi-fi and all the books that the ownerlet in the house. There are in all the rooms (downstairs and upstairs) functional fireplaces for an occasional evening "flambée". Next to this room, there is a library room with a lots of french and english books.

Care and attention has been taken throughout the property to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The furnishings throughout the Château are all of high quality.

The terrace is totally private and is equipped with table, chairs and barbecue for eating in the shade from the sun under the evening stars. Outside, large open areas allow for games with young and old and a table tennis is on the site.  A small path leads from the terrace to the large enclosed swimming pool measuring 12x6 m and 1.50 m deep. Sun beds are all located next to the pool for the convenience of guests.

There are innumerable nature walks all around the area for all levels of enthusiasm ! There is a wide variety of restaurants & cafes within a 10 kms radius which are suited for all tastes. The local tourist Information Office is close by and can help you plan a programme of sites of interest. A selection of information leaflets are provided upon arrival to help you find your way around.
