A smart villa that has a light, bright and airy feel, surrounded by a large garden with a private swimming pool.  This house provides all the modern facilities required by the holidaymakers of today.

The ground floor is open-plan and spacious with two sets of French windows leading into the garden.

Lounge area - with a sofa and sofa bed, armchairs and a tv with English channels.

Kitchen/dining area - fully equipped with a gas oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dish-washer etc. 

The kitchen door opens onto the sun terrace overlooking the swimming pool and garden.

There is a large bedroom on the ground floor with a double plus a single bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and wc. 

Downstairs cloakroom.

Upstairs is the second bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with a shower, basin and wc.

Outside

The private salt-water swimming pool measures 12m x 6m and the patio area is furnished with sun loungers and parasols.  The area is fully fenced in accordance with French security legislation.

The sun terrace is furnished with barbecue, table, chairs and parasols.

The "pool" room has a walk-in shower, basin and wc which are handy for use after swimming. It also contains a washing machine and plenty of space for storing swimming toys and for drying pool towels. 

The large garden is very peaceful and has beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.  There is plenty of space for children to play.  A table-tennis table is also available offering extra entertainment for everyone. 
 

La Gonterie is a quiet country hamlet set a few kilometres from the famous and beautiful town of Brantôme, close to the medieval town of Bourdeilles and the town of Villars.  Surrounded by countryside the house is perfectly located for enjoying a relaxing vacation with a host of activites and sites of interest close by. The island town of Brantôme is located in a loop of the river Dronne which gently flows past, creating a picturesque setting and giving the town the name of the 'Venice of the Périgord'. The town boasts a historic Abbey, an eleventh century bell tower and caves with ancient troglodyte dwellings. Guests will find a host of restaurants and places to eat out on the riverside, a good selection of shops, banks, supermarkets, a post office, pretty parks and and all modern amenities for a stay in the region. The colourful weekly market is also worth a visit and perfect for buying fresh local produce and enjoying the bustling atmosphere.

A wide range of activities are available during the summer season from canoeing on the Dronne river, bathing in the river, cycling, tennis, golf and fishing. This area of the Dordogne is particularly beautiful with rolling hills and woodlands. Walkers and nature lovers will find innumerable walking tracks and pathways for all levels of enthusiasm!
